West Sikkim is home to a substantial Buddhist population and has more than 70 Buddhist monasteries with Lheuntse, Dubde and Tashiding close to the resort. The resort organises trips to each of them and the one closest to the resort, The Lhuntse Monastery (30 minutes drive & 20 minutes trek), is located on a hilltop above the Mangalbarey Bazaar close by. One can also visit some of the holy caves nearby with the popular Rahu Ney located barely 30 minutes drive-time from the resort. Khecheopalri Lake, sacred to both Hindus and Buddhists can also be planned and usually requires a full day to visit (3-4 hours one-way drive time). If you are visiting between October to January, the Phurchachu Hot Springs, a 20-minute drive from the resort and known for its medicinal properties, is a must visit
